About Me
I’m a Colorado native, wife to an amazing husband, and mom of two wonderful kids. I feel most at home under big skies and early morning sunrises. I’m a nature lover, conservationist, hunter, and 4-H leader who spends time teaching archery, cheering kids on, and helping raise the next generation to respect the land and wildlife.
Faith, family, and community are at the heart of everything I do. I love good friends, fresh air, staying active, rustic spaces, and finding joy in simple moments—whether that’s a quiet sunrise or time spent on our hobby farm.
Creating is where my heart feels most at home. I’m drawn to the unusual and imperfect—natural materials, worn textures, and pieces with a story—and I love taking those elements and making them beautiful. My jewelry is inspired by the mountains, wildlife, and the life we live out here, made for women who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and connection.
The name Wounded Buffalo Boutique was inspired by a woman who embodies everything I admire. I’d love to introduce you to my neighbor and dear friend, Dorothy Kerns. At 96 years old, Dorothy continues to paint, sew, and create. She is sharp as a tack, endlessly wise, and shares her life stories with honesty and grace. Years ago, she owned a restaurant and bar called The Wounded Buffalo in the cow town of Fossil, Oregon —an iconic place with wild stories of rowdy cowboys and horses in the bar, that ultimately inspired the name of my business.
Dorothy has a true artist’s eye and sees beauty where most people wouldn’t. When I grow up, I want to be just like Dorothy. You’ll occasionally see her artwork available for sale here as well—a small way to share her gift with you.
Jewelry to wear, share, and cherish.
